Female elite welcomes Latvian champion!

The list of participants in female elite category at 20th year of Czech Open becomes more specific. Latvian champions RSU/Runaway will come to Prague. Team from the capital city of Latvia was founded in 2006 by athletes who moved to Riga for studies. RSU also means Riga Stradins University.

Team improved itself from its origin and its productivity reached the top during last season. RSU/Runaway broke the dominance of Rubene and overrun the highest league. In 32 games the team lost just once. Thanks to the win in national league they ensured to play at 2011 Euro Floorball Cup, from which the participant of 2012 Champions Cup was emerged.

RSU/Runaway dominated this tournament as well, when it defeated such teams us Norwegian Holm, Russian Novgorod or Slovak Žilina. Then Latvian champion can meet with future Czech champion at next Champions Cup.

6 players of RSU/Runaway participated in Women World Championship in Switzerland, where they gained 7th place for Latvia. The team has in its centre a star Luize Bilinska, who was just in her 17 years the most productive player of Latvian team at World Championship and also of her club at Euro Floorball Cup.

Can Latvian champion surprise at Czech Open and struggle its way to the final battles? We will find out in August.
